David Gilmour has a new album coming out this year.
It's titled "Luck and Strange" and late Pink Floyd keyboardist Rick Wright is featured on the title track. That song was recorded during a jam session in a barn at Gilmour's house back in 2007.
There's a total of nine songs on the record, and Gilmour's wife, novelist Polly Samson, wrote the majority of the lyrics. She says they were "written from the point of view of being older; mortality is the constant.”
The first single "The Piper's Call" is out now on the streaming services, and the full album is set to be released on September 6th.
