"Get Back" To The Beatles Today

In 1969 The Beatles released the single "Get Back", which came from filming at Twickenham studios of the band rehearsing for the 'Let It Be' album. The project was supposed to be a docu series of the making of the album that would end with a full concert televised worldwide. What resulted was an unfinished album, a final concert on a rooftop, and a documentary film that not only does everyone not like, but turns out to be very misleading to what actually took place.

The film also dispels the rumor that the song was about Paul McCartney's hate of Yoko Ono with the chorus being "Get back to where you once belonged". As, we now know from the Disney+ docuseries, Paul literally pulled that song out of thin air, in what is one of the most magical scenes in docu history.

If there was ever a time for any kind of Beatles fan to get properly acquainted with the band it’s today. The docu series “Get Back” on Disney + properly breaks down the moments of the making of the album that would ultimately lead to The Beatles end. Although, it seemed like a cursed proposition in the beginning, what ended up taking places is a beautiful and inciteful display of the magic of the Beatles making music.

Binge watch it today before you have to get back to the grind on Monday, and yes pun fully intended.
