A Utah woman says she was still able to walk down the aisle a day after she was tossed from a mattress in a pickup truck. Lydia Kessinger and her now husband Alex were trying to transport a king-size mattress to their new home on April 26th, the day before their wedding. They decided… poorly… that the best way to hold the mattress down was for Lydia to lay on top of it.
Then, the truck was traveling at about 50 miles per hour when the mattress shifted, propelling the Kessinger into the middle of the road.
She was luckily able to get out of the way of oncoming traffic, but sustained road rash and her two front teeth were knocked out. Groom Alex said of their wedding "A lot of people were able to overlook the stupidity and really come and support both of us in the time that we needed it.”
