A North Carolina woman is over the moon after winning a massive $4.7 million lottery prize.

Cesaltina Ribeiro, of Elm City, was playing the Outlaw's Loot digital instant game at home last week when she won the top level "Grand Fortune" progressive jackpot, beating the 1 in 50 million odds to win the multi-million prize, according to a release from the NC Education Lottery. The win is the second largest digital instant prize in the history of the North Carolina lottery.

As soon as she won and saw just how big her prize was, she called her children to share the happy news. However, she told lottery officials that they were a bit lost at first given her excitement.

"I got them on a video call and told them, 'We are millionaires,'" she said, adding, "I kept yelling so they didn't know what was going on."

Ribeiro claimed her prize at lottery headquarters on Monday (July 7), taking home a jaw-dropping $3,374,512 after all required state and federal tax withholdings. According to lottery officials, the Wilson County woman already had big plans for her winnings, hoping to buy a house for her family and go on a vacation while also investing some of the funds. As for now, she is still soaking up the shocking win.

"It's an amazing feeling," she said. "Now I can do a lot more."
