Former Extreme Makeover: Home Edition star Eduardo Xol died at the age of 58 last week after being stabbed, the Riverside County Coroner confirmed to TMZ on Wednesday (September 25).

Xol was pronounced dead at Desert Regional Medical Center last Thursday (September 19). The actor's mother also confirmed his death to TMZ.

Xol was reportedly discovered by Palm Springs Police Department officers in an apartment on September 10 after he made a call for help, which launched an investigation into the incident. The actor had significant injuries when he was discovered by officers.

Xol was reported to be in serious, but stable condition when he was transported to a nearby hospital on September 10. Richard Joseph Gonzales, 34, of Cathedral City, California, was initially arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in relation to Xol's stabbing after calling dispatch on the same day the actor was discovered by police, claiming to have been the victim of an assault one night prior.

Gonzales is currently being held without bail and police have requested murder charges be levied against him. Xol was best known for his appearance as a celebrity designer for outdoor design, outdoor living and landscaping during seasons 2-8 of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and also had roles in several telenovelas early in his career including Acapulco, cuerpo y alma, Sentimientos Ajenos and La Jaula de Oro.
