The Who's Roger Daltrey Gets Heated About The Internet Ruining Live Shows

Roger Daltrey may be on tour right now, but he is not pleased with the current state of live music. In a recent interview, The Who singer expressed why he believes "the internet’s ruined the live shows" because fans are able to see the setlist before the concert.

“I’m not gonna talk about songs,” Daltrey said. “Too many people reveal songs. There’s no surprises left with concerts these days, ’cause everybody wants to see the setlist. I’m f***ing sick of it. The internet’s ruined the live shows for me. Who wants to know what’s coming next? People forget about surprises. I can’t stand it.”

After the interviewer suggested that maybe concert goers want to know when to go to the bathroom, Daltrey joked: "Why not just start to listen to the bloody show in the toilet, then?”

According to his bandmate Pete Townshend, The Who "certainly" will tour again—he's just not sure when. For now, Daltrey is on the road for a solo tour. See the full list of dates below.
