- Record rainfall is expected. Forecasters are predicting 8 to 12 inches for the Charlotte area
- Sustained winds are expected to be at least 35 mph with gusts of 50
- Charlotte is at risk for tornadoes Saturday night and Sunday
- Storm will be parked over Charlotte for 24 hours
- Be prepared to be without power for three days
- Charlotte Mecklenburg Police are asking to only use 911 if it’s a true emergency. 311 is staffed for non-emergencies
- Shelter in place. Stay home with family and friends if possible
- If a traffic signal is dark or flashing red, STOP as if it’s a 4-way stop
- Water rescue teams are in place and are expected to be used as rain becomes heavier
- Power outages are fluctuating. It's been as high as 11,000 without power so far
- Duke Energy has trucks staged at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Carowinds
- Crews cannot go up in bucket trucks once wind reaches 30 mph
